I shall never forget the day we sent her off at the airport . She had her hair bun up, so impeccably neat with practically no make-up. She looks so slim and so cool in her dark sunglasses. As always, she walks with that air of confidence, signing a few autographs along the way before she saw and walked towards us. She took off her sunglasses and said hello. We had a group photo with her, and then she start to shake our hands, each and everyone of us; taking our hands in her whole palm and looked you in the eye when she gave a hearty shake. It was like a dream come true.
It took me less than one and half years for my prayers to be answered. I joined her international website in end-2004, read everything about this marvellous lady who turned my life topsy-turvy ever since watching her phenomenally-successful drama, Jewel In the Palace. I told myself that I'll have to see this lady to convince myself that she is as human as anyone of us here.
After seeing her, I know my obsession is all worth it!

Young-Ae exudes an aura of light around her...oh how I wished I could bask in it a little longer that day!
I felt that time stood still when she gave me one of her cutesy autograph on the back of my t-shirt. Her sincerity was very touching and meeting her was a total surreal experience. Like in a Magritte painting! Young-Ae, please do come back to Singapore again! =D

I can still feel and remember vividly the firm grip she gave. That was the first time someone ever held me so tightly, just for a shake. Though my small hands almost could not bear with the sudden pressure, I was really touched by her sincerity that I held her hands for a second or more. After the photo-taking session, my inner excitement further escalated upon seeing her gentle smile as she signed my book. Amidst the pushy scenario, YA tried to satisfy everyone by signing her 'renowned' autograph before being led into the VIP lounge to check in. Recovering from the shock, Violet reminded us that we had forgotten about our cheer. We quickly ran towards the area where YA were queuing up to check in. Through the glass panel, we shouted: 'Young Ae-si, we love you! Please come back to Singapore again!' She heard, turned back and nodded to us. Finally, before she left for the departure hall, she bided one last goodbye by bowing, waving and nodding to us. I waved back.
At the same time, I earnestly hope that YA can come back to Singapore again.

Together with fellow fans, I had gone to the airport to greet her as she was invited by LG to attend its Pan-Asian Family Festival. When I saw her, I was like 'Wow'. She is so beautiful, charismatic and youthful-looking in person. Despite being mobbed by media and us, she was calm, collected and all smiles. And her smile melted my heart.
We went down to the airport again the next day to see her off and managed to take a group photo with her. Beamingly and obligingly, she autographed for me and offered me a firm handshake while her escorts were urging her to go. She bade farewell to us with a bow to show her appreciation. I was utterly moved by her friendliness, sincerity and down-to-earth approach.
She is just beautiful inside as she is on outside and I find myself adoring her more after these encounters.

First time I see her in real person.
First person to shake her hand when she steps out of the arrival hall.

First idol of my life.
There is only 2 words to describe her: Elegant and Beautiful.
Her beauty is not only her physical beauty but also the inner beauty that
is coming within her.
It is destiny that brought Miss Young Ae to us and

When I first saw the picture of Young Ae, the first impression she gave was very clean and sweet. But, I did not pay much attention on her when Singapore was showing "Fireworks" years back as I am not a person who likes to watch drama series.
The second time I get to see this lady's face was along the way to school, where her SFLV poster was put up in the train station. I started to take note of her more. It was until I watch DJG; I was fully addicted to her smile. She has great smile, and together with the cute little actions she does occasionally, she totally conquered my heart.
I read about reports on how friendly she was when she visits other countries, and finally, when she came to Singapore, I finally get to see her friendliness with my own eyes. After that, I naturally start to help her spread her love by telling the people around me how good she is and spending my own time helping out in the club.
Young Ae stands a special place in my heart.

Frankly speaking, I have never heard of the name Lee Young Ae before March 2006. I got to know about this great actress through watching the Jewel in the Palace DVD. That spark off my curiosity about the lead actress and I started searching on the internet to get to know her better. And the more information I found about her, the more respect and admiration I have for her (in other words, I am hooked).
When news of her visit to SG in April was announced, I could not believe my luck. Some long time fans have waited so long to meet her but for me, I could meet her in person only after being a fan for 1 month.
I do not have any experience of being a 'fan' of a star, I was wondering what should I do or say in the event the opportunity to talk to her arise (dreaming on my part).
In retrospect, 3 things struck me about her during my encounter with her within her very short visit to SG - quiet confidence, charming elegance and innate intelligence.
All the qualities that I aspire to have but have not quite achieve yet (",).
